CELEBRATING OUR FAITH

Catholic Mission month
This year for World Mission Day 2017 Pope Francis says:
“Young people are the hope of mission…. They seek ways to put themselves with courage and enthusiasm at the service of humanity.”
The week of 15-21 October has been designated 'Anti-poverty Week'. It is hoped that we will be able to hold a fundraiser during this week to support the work of Australian Catholic Mission.
Please view this link to learn more about what life is like for Harriet, a 13 year old living in a house on the outskirts of Bujuni – a small village 3 hours drive west of Uganda's capital Kampala. Meet Harriet, walk with her to her home while she collects water, shows you her school and brings you to her local health clinic.
Prayer Celebrations
This week there will not be a liturgy at Sacred Heart Church. Year 8 will have the Sacrament of Reconciliation in the AV room on Thursday morning. Staff will lead the prayer in both the K-6 and Secondary assemblies this week.
