SJV Indonesian Day Celebrations

This year St John Vianney’s will celebrate our Indonesian Day on Wednesday 14 August 2019.

On this day we are delighted to have cultural workshops and performances delivered by Victoria’s leading Indonesian incursion group Bagus Kan!. The engaging workshops will include learning Indonesian traditional dance and using musical instruments, which will then be performed by some of our students after lunch. Parents are invited to celebrate and enjoy the amazing performance at 2:00pm in the Parish Hall.

In the morning, our Grade 6 Leaders are taking the initiative to prepare fun games and serve an Indonesian Morning Tea for our beloved parents. The morning tea will be provided by the school with no charge, and held between 8:50am – 9:30am in the Staff Room. For catering purposes, please email Pak Kris at ksapoetra@sjvmulgrave.catholic.edu.au OR return the Indonesian Day slip by August 8th if you are attending the morning tea.

The children will also be encouraged to dress up in red & white OR red & black celebrating the Indonesian national colours. We look forward to seeing you on the day and having a fantastic Indonesian celebration.
