Principal Post

From the Principal. . .
Dear Families,
Thank you so much to our P&F members Alisha, Randa, Pat, Jenny and Dorothy for organising our Family Movie Night last Friday evening. Held in the Parish Hall, it was a terrific evening enjoyed by many families.
Hopefully we may be able to do something similar for families again next year! We encourage everyone to come along. The kids and parents said it was a fabulous night and finished before 8pm!
Congratulations Grade Prep - 100 days!
Well done to our Preps who today celebrated their 100 days at school! They have done so well and are very much settled into the community of St John Vianney's. Today they immersed themselves into a range of activities around the concept of 100! From the St John Vianney's family we congratulate you! Only 2500 school days until you graduate from Year 12!! You can do it!
More information and photos next week!
Illness
There seems to be a number of students in 1/2 having fevers, stomach cramps and headaches. Please ensure that if your child is sick they stay at home, so it is not passed onto other students.
Family Engagement - Prep Information session
To all our prep parents who came along on Monday afternoon, to hear some tips about how to support your child's learning at home, particularly with Reading and Maths, thank you! We hope that you found the information helpful. Your child's class teacher, as well as our Maths and Literacy Leaders are always there to assist you should you have a question!

SATURDAY OCTOBER 26 is our Fete Day!!!
The Raffle Ticket books were sent home to each family today! Thank you for your generosity in buying/ selling our Raffle Tickets /Book. Please read further information on The Community Fun Day Page.
The funds come back to assist your children and school/parish!!
Car park - Safety
I ask again for everyone to be mindful of safety during pickup and drop off. I encourage you to use St John's Way for the 'Kiss & Drop' as it is much quicker. If picking up children from the Parish car park please ensure that you get out of your cars to collect your children and take them safely to your vehicle. Please exit the car park onto Police Road carefully and be mindful of pedestrians and bike riders. Turning left onto Police Road is clearly a safer practice.
School Closure Day
The staff will undertake a professional learning day on Monday 26th August and as such it will be a student free day. Please make appropriate arrangements. More information later.
New School Website
The New School Website is almost complete and hopefully will go live next week!
