Interschool Sports

Girls Futsal

Recently three of our year 7 girls teams competed in Futsal for interschool sports.  It was a great day out and everyone played really well.  Our A team came first in their pool and then played in the finals against Elwood. The B team came third in their pool against some strong competition.  Finally, our C team showed great sportsmanship is a very tough pool.  Everyone enjoyed and we had an amazing time.

Boys Futsal

On the 20th of August, the boy’s futsal teams went out to Albert Park to compete in the Bayside Divisional School Sports League.  Even though there was no second stage of the competition, both of the teams did extremely well, had heaps of fun and showed pride to the Beaumaris Logo.

The A team at the end of the day went home with two wins, one draw and two losses. In the A team we faced some tough teams and were unlucky to not score a cracking goal by Ilija.  For the majority of the games, we had Jack in goal who ended up making some great saves and made a big impact on the game. Tommy, who played up front for the majority of the game played amazingly. He ended up with 5 or 6 goals and one of the refs said that he was the best player of the competition. At the backline, we had Liam and Val, who both played amazing and were crucial for defending some counter attacks. Switching from upfront and the backline we had Archie, who while playing we didn't lose a game with.

The B team participated in 5 games and out of those 5 games won twice, lost twice and drew once Lachie Hurt was the main standout trying super hard and making Beaumaris proud. James hurt himself in the first game and managed to get back out on the field for the last game and nearly won it for us. Ronan and Charlie played together really well Ronan payed goalie and saved bucket loads of goals. Charlie switched from midfield to defence each half and ended up with one goal to be proud of, it was a cracker. Luca was amazing in defence he helped Charlie and Ronan save loads of goals he tried his hardest, which was seen at half time and didn't give up.
