LANGUAGES
INTERGENERATIONAL CONVERSATIONS AT MCKINNON
Year 11 German students participated in the first session of the Intergenerational Conversations last week. Senior participants of our community, all German native speakers, visit the college every fortnight to converse with our students on topics related to our curriculum.
Our volunteers, many of them have been part of this program for many years, contribute their time and enjoy engaging with young people. Students work in small groups with our participants and discuss topics in German. The program, a research program initiated by Monash University, connects the generations to benefit our students and the older generations in our society.
We thank all our participants for the contribution they make and look forward to another year with them.
