2020 SSV State Team Trials

Each year, talented school students have the opportunity to trial for a place in the School Sport Victoria (SSV) Team Vic State team and participate in annual School Sport Australia (SSA) Championships. These trials are strictly for senior students (Year 5 & 6) currently competing at an ELITE LEVEL in their chosen sport. An example of this for AFL would be that they have won Best & Fairest or Runner Up at SMJFL level for 12 year olds. Having come Best and Fairest at club level will not suffice.

Please note that participation in SSV team Vic State Teams  is self-funded, so students will be required to pay costs of administration levies, uniforms, flights, accommodation and meals. Students who are selected will have to go to trials which may be outside of Bayside as they progress through the different stages.

Please refer to the SSV website to apply/see when your chosen sport is trialling. AFL, Volleyball, Basketball, Netball, Cricket, Touch Football, Golf and Soccer are open now and close on March 1 2020. For other sports, please check the website.

Year 4 Swimming

Today the Year 4 students finished their 9 day Swim & Survive Program at SwimRight which incorporated a wide range of aquatic skills including water safety, survival techniques and swimming skill development. Teachers and students alike have enjoyed being able to walk from BNPS to Tulip Street – a great way to get to know each other at the beginning of the year.
