Buskers' Corner at the Fete

At this year’s Fete, there will be a  Buskers’ Corner! Students have been coming to audition for a place on the program, every lunchtime this week. The Year 4 students, however, have been unable to attend due to a clash with the swimming program. Therefore, Thursday 20 February is set aside for Year 4 students to come and show off their talents.

Please encourage your young performer to come forward - it’s not too late! Once all of the items have been heard, I will be creating a performance schedule. If there are any problems with the time your child has been allocated, please don't hesitate to be in touch with me. I will do my best to accommodate you. Thank you for your support. Audrey Fine

Fete & Recorder Ensembles

Friendly reminder that our Flute & Recorder Ensembles, taken by Mrs Audrey Fine (Music Teacher) will commence weekly rehearsals at lunchtime next week as follows:

• Flute - Tuesday
• Recorder - Wednesday

All students need is a flute or recorder and a willingness to practise as this is a performance-oriented ensemble. Music is modified to suit ability!

School Band

The School Band, taken by Mrs Audrey Fine (Music Teacher) on Mondays at lunchtime, will commence weekly rehearsals next week (17 February). Children for the School Band are selected by our Music Teachers in consultation with Simon Lindsay (BNPS Instrumental Music Program Coordinator). Together they choose students from Year 4 – 6 who are at a suitable playing standard and able to demonstrate commitment and a sense of responsibility. The band includes guitars, ukulele, flutes, violin, piano, xylophones and percussion.

If you play an instrument that is not listed, please let Mrs Fine know.
