Tibetan Culture - Year 2

The Year 2 students have been looking at Tibetan culture, Losar (Tibetan New Year) and the expression of happiness.

Mrs Duffy and the Office ladies were very happy when Skyla H (2D) and Max F (2C) came into the Office with their 'happy blessings'!

Art Competition – Design a Flag!

The Art Installation Program is an opportunity for students to participate in creating permanent art works for the school grounds. It is run by the Art Teachers twice a week in the last hour on a Thursday and first hour Friday morning.

Our Art Installation piece for Term 1 is an opportunity for a select 12 students from across year levels Prep to Year 5. These students will be accompanied by 20 Year 6 students. The work will be an installation of two large murals inspired by flag design.

This is an optional activity as we would only like the students who are willing to participate in 2 hours of extra art time each week. The successful students will be selected by the Art Teachers based on the design that best captures bold effective design.

 INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS

  • The design should incorporate shape, pattern and colour to create your own unique flag.
  • Please use the whole of an A4 sheet of paper for your design.
  • The entry piece should be clearly labelled with your name and grade.

DUE THURSDAY 20 FEBRUARY (NO late exceptions)

Wishing you all the best on this creative art journey!
