Book Week festivities continued this week as the Reception to Year 3 classes had a visit by an author.  Mike Dumbleton, a South Australian based author, talked to the boys about his latest book Eve and Elly.  He gave us insight into the process of writing and the importance of picture design in picture books.

The Year 4 - 6 classes will need to wait until the beginning of Term 4 (20 October) to meet their author.  We will be Skyping Tristan Bancks, author of several books including the very funny and popular My Life series.

The Senior Library annual Book Week Guessing Competition has been drawn and the lucky winner is Bao-Nhat Nguyen with Mehdi Sarwari, Anthony Matosevic and James Truong as runners up. All the boys will receive vouchers, chocolate and even books.

Also, a reminder the entries for the Premier’s Reading Challenge have now closed in the Senior School. Boys who completed the challenge will receive a yummy pizza lunch for their efforts next term.
