Purple Day
Purple Day

On Friday, 26th March, Echuca Twin Rivers School and Echuca Twin Rivers Specialist School will both be supporting the Epilepsy Foundation - Purple Day.

Students can wear a 'touch of purple' on this day & donate a gold coin or can purchase a purple ribbon for $1. Proceeds of the day will be donated to Epilepsy Action Australia.

Purple Day (26th March) is a global initiative dedicated to raising epilepsy awareness. Purple Day was founded in 2008, by nine-year-old Cassidy Megan of Nova Scotia, Canada. Motivated by her own struggles with epilepsy, Cassidy started Purple Day to get people talking about the condition and to let those impacted by seizures know that they are not alone. She named the day, Purple Day after the internationally recognised colour for epilepsy, lavender.

Get your ‘touch of purple’ ready to help celebrate this terrific cause.

Easter Egg Guessing Competition

We are running an Easter Egg guessing competition that will be drawn on the last day of this term.  If you would like to participate the jar of Easter Eggs will be in the office next week.  $1 will give you 3 guesses in the competition.  Good luck!

The Easter Hat Parade is back due to popular demand!

Last year our beloved Easter Hat Parade was one of the many victims of the COVID 19 Lockdowns, but never fear… it is back better than ever in 2021!  Our students from Prep to Year 6 have been immersed in paper construction skills and techniques AND have been learning about one of the most important Art Elements… Colour! They have combined all their knowledge into the design of a hat! Come along to our parade on THURSDAY 1st of APRIL (No, this is not an April Fool’s joke!) at 1:00 pm to see our TWIN RIVERS STARS SHINE! The parade will be held in the Courtyard. Please enter the school through the office and remember to check in via our QR code. There will be an early finish to school at 1:45pm shortly after the parade. Hope to see you there!

** Note: If weather is rainy, we will move the parade indoors to the Centre AND unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions, parents will not be able to attend. Keep an eye on our Facebook page on the morning of the 1st to check this situation.
