Assistant Principal -Anthea Mathers

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you are enjoying this beautiful Autumn weather.

School Wide Positive Behaviour Update

It has been fantastic to see so many students receiving our Wally stickers this week. Wally stickers are the cornerstone of our positive behaviour acknowledgement system. As students accumulate these stickers in tens, they can choose from a range of rewards. These stickers have been sponsored by the Moama Bowling Club.

We are looking for a parent / carer that may wish to be a part of the School Wide Positive Behaviour Support Team. We meet on Wednesday fortnightly at school at 3.30 pm. If you think this is something you might be interested in supporting, please contact Julie on 54107700.

Next Week's Behaviour Focus

Our Value focus next week is Responsibility

I will show responsibility by wearing full school uniform each day to school.

School Council Elections

We are seeking nominations for School Council in 2021.

If you would like to contribute to the school by being a part of the council, please collect a nomination form from the office.

Our AGM for 2021 will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday 22 March, everyone is invited to attend.

School Council meetings will be held on a Monday this year.

Traffic (reminder)

We are continuing to talk with students in relation to road safety.  We have noticed before and after school that Wilkinson Drive is getting busier and busier. There are many students that are taking risks when crossing the road. If parents are dropping children off, we encourage you to walk them across the road to ensure their safety. With the noise and busy traffic, students are hesitating and this could end up in an accident.

We also have a number of students riding their bikes/scooters without a helmet and taking risks at the roundabouts. Please have a chat with your child about ensuring their safety. Helmets are compulsory when riding bikes and scooters.

Safety of our community is of the utmost importance to us.

Swimming Program

Grade 5/6's are splashing their way through their swimming program this week. It is great to see the development of swimming abilities throughout the week.

Next week the 3/4's are off to the pool for their swimming program. Remember to pack bathers & towels each day.

National Ride to School Day

This Friday 19 March is National Ride to School Day. National Ride2School Day is Australia’s biggest celebration of active travel and one of the best days on the school calendar. It is a day full of fun and colour where students, teachers and parents discover the joy of riding and kick-start healthy habits for the future.
