Kids who Care

On Friday 12 March, Mrs Campbell and Mrs Bija commenced the 'Kids who Care' training in the library.  We had a wonderful turnout of volunteers. 

Students from Year 5 and Year 6 who nominated to be a 'Kid who Cares' will be developing their skills and understandings to be playground mentors and play leaders during our recess and lunch breaks. It's fun and very rewarding.

'Kids who Care' students will complete 4 training modules:

• Understanding Autism (Part 1 & Part 2)
• Play stations in the Playground
• Positive Playground Tips

Students who complete the modules will receive a participation certificate, a 'Kids who Care' badge and one care coin for each roster duty performed. 

We will see our 'Kids who Care' in the playground from week 1 of Term 2. They will set up games to play and be a friendly face in the playground looking to help others.
