All Secondary students utilise Chromebooks to assist them in their learning. This means they require headphones every day to work independently. Due to COVID -19 hygiene standards, St Philomena’s is not permitted to provide headphones for our students to use. Students are required to bring in their own headphones to ensure we are meeting the hygiene and personal health requirements for all students.

Cultivating Agriculture

Over the past fortnight, the garden beds have been getting assembled and our new plot is starting to take shape - thank you to our groundsmen for assisting in this step!

In Year 8 Agriculture, students have been learning about plant production and looking at sustainable gardening. Within our practical lesson, students planted vegetables from the supermarket to see how green waste can be reduced in the household.

Secondary Cold Write

In English, students are undertaking their second Cold Write for the year. Their writing is to be based on the theme "Escape". Writing can take place in any form (persuasive, informative or creative) and students had just over forty minutes to write their piece.

Mice dodging traps, prison breaks and escaping the bustle of a city: students in Years 7-9 have truly put forward their best work!
