Secondary Diocesan Swimming Carnival

On Thursday 11th March Sophie Lai competed at the Secondary Armidale Diocesan Swimming Carnival in Gunnedah. Sophie did an amazing job swimming against students from all over the Armidale Diocese in a variety of swimming events. Well done, Sophie!

Primary Diocese Winter Trials

The weather could not stop these passionate students from playing the sports they love on Friday 12th March. After heavy rainfall all week, students from St Philomena's travelled to Inverell for the Winter Trials to complete in Football/Soccer, Netball and Rugby League against students from all over the Armidale Diocese. 

Kellam Joseph, Nic Haley, Marley Swan, Eli McCormick and Rhylan Madden showed off their elite abilities and skill throughout the day participating in the Rugby League. Whilst, Violet Crawford, Alex Reardon, Lucy Chaplin, Flo Finlayson, Lucinda Devney and Sophie Schweitzer displayed some amazing agility and speed on the court in Netball. Football/Soccer was no different with Riley Burley and Steph Antees trialing in their respective divisions, the competition was fierce. 

At the end of the trials, Marley Swan and Sophie Schweitzer were selected to represent the Armidale Diocese in Bathurst at the Polding Winter Trials.

Secondary Diocesan Cross Country

On Thursday 22nd April, Caleb Scholl competed at the Secondary Armidale Diocesan Cross Country in Gunnedah, where he placed 3rd in the Boys U13 event. Congratulations Caleb!
