Girls' Boarding News

After the option of a town trip on Saturday morning, Saturday evening was spent at home making jewellery. One of our ex-boarders, Zoe Fitzpatrick, came in to show the girls what to do and brought with her all the resources needed, for which we are very thankful.  She was an excellent facilitator! The girls made earrings and some of them were stunning, creative and beautifully executed. It was a lovely way to spend the evening and there was a happy and productive atmosphere all evening. For anyone interested in having a look, Zoe has her own art site on Instagram @Mardijbalina_art. We are very much hoping she will come back in the near future and do some more creative work with the girls.

On Sunday, after a lovely cooked breakfast it was time for some physical activity. The girls were very excited to go along with the boys to volleyball. Many thanks to Paul and Tammy for taking the excursion, and to Alex Pollitt who came along to give us some expert coaching advice.

While on the subject of volleyball, it is great to see so many of the boarding girls taking advantage of the Sports Academy, well done to all those who get up early each week to take part.

Our basketball season finished this week and while we were not victorious, I would like to congratulate all those who took part. A special thank you to Rebekah and Ernie who supported and coached the team, it was much appreciated.
