Boys' Boarding News

Week 4 was another week of highlights for the boy boarders. On Saturday afternoon, the boys travelled out to the Telegraph Station to experience the Mountain Biking 12 Hour Enduro event. Before climbing on a bike to do a lap of the course, the boys enjoyed a paddle in the pools of water still lying in the Todd. Tadpoles, frogs and even fish were discovered.

The lap of the course saw the boys' riding skills tested with most showing they have what it takes to ride on mountain tracks with little fear! All returned safely! Special thanks to Mrs Roxanne Egan for accompanying the boys. After their ride, the boys made good use of the sausage sizzle run by SPC Year 12 students for dinner.

On Sunday some boys went to the race track to ride a horse – thanks Rene Taylor! While others enjoyed their time with Mrs Michelle Fleming, shopping and swimming in their pool.

On Monday night the guest speaker was one of their own – Liam Alloway. Liam presented his class business presentation to the boys who found it to be very valuable. At Wednesday’s Arts assembly, Keneifa Hayes was one of the two special guest artists and his dance drew sustained applause from the audience.

In the coming weeks, the boys will be concentrating on getting the best Term 1 report possible.
