2019 Food Drive for ASRC

Year 11 Philanthropic Project
The Year 11 Philanthropic Project will begin collecting food and goods from this Tuesday 17 September in Tutorial classes. The Year 11 Captains, Lucy, Sam, Rosie and Dimi have developed a lesson to signal the commencement of the collection. Their lesson focuses on the problem of there being an estimated 85 million displaced people across the world and the adversity that Asylum Seekers suffer in Australia today. The collection also follows representatives from the ASRC (Asylum Seeker Resource Centre) giving thought provoking insights into the lived experience of asylum seekers at an assembly in June this year. Details outlining the most needed food and goods are listed in this Northcote High School Drive poster. Please dig deep and we hope to deliver a bounty to the ASRC before Melbourne Cup weekend in November.
Many thanks in advance for your support of this great cause.
