Wiradjuri and First Nations Youth Art Project

Students recently participated in a workshop for the Wiradjuri and First Nations Youth Art Project.  Wiradjuri artists, Mr Owen Lyons and Ms Teisha Robinson visited our College alongside Ms Isobel MacCallum from Wagga City Council.  Students learnt about symbols in traditional Wiradjuri Art as well as receiving an overview on the concepts of equity and respect.  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed having a yarn and working on their own designs for the project.

The next workshop hosted by Wagga City Council will be held in the BBQ area at Wagga Beach on Tuesday 16 March from 4.00pm - 6.00pm. Please note this is not a College excursion and therefore no supervision will be available.

C4W Wagga School Leaders Program was launched at a morning tea with invited guests that included Ms Kay Hull and Dr Joe McGirr.  Our participants Haillie Willis, Sophie Edmunds and Harry Hallcroft were on a mission to improve their conversation skills and build confidence by seeking out guests and putting their new found skills to the test.  The feedback from the day was excellent and all students are looking forward to the next module on Wednesday 10 of March.
