Science, Inquiry & Wellbeing

Science

This term in Science children will be exploring and experimenting with different properties of liquid and solids. They will have a chance to conduct experiments to see how a liquid turns into a solid.

Inquiry

This term children will explore the world around them and look at Geography. We will be exploring our own country exploring The First Nations people and their connection to the land. We will also explore it using the knowledge we gained from our last unit, using an understanding of where we came from and how that influenced this country. We will also take the opportunity to follow the Matildas as they take on the world in the Soccer World Cup, which is being hosted in Australia and New Zealand. Which will assist us in our project of identifying not only features of Australia, but our neighbours.

Wellbeing

This term, we will be exploring 'Stress Management' and 'Gender and Identity' as part of our Respectful Relationships program.  The children will be learning what causes stress and some important coping mechanisms and relaxation techniques. We will also learn the skills and strategies to problems solve and when to ask for help.

School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS)

We are continuing to practise our SWPBS values of being respectful, safe and responsible learners. We have been working hard to receive values tokens in the classroom and playground.
