Four Year Old News

Building with bricks has been collaborative and there has been lots of extension.

Lego building has seen children extending their communication skills and collaborative social skills. Jane (our student) set up an activity for children to explore printing- marking into a piece of foam board and then rolling paint and placing paper over the top to leave a print.

To further explore our identity, the Budja class looked at how to draw a face and the features we have. Using a print out of their faces, the children traced over the features they could see using some clear paper. We also have been looking at Australian animals and the features they have. We look forward to discussing endangered species as well as learning some of the First Nations’ names for the animals.

Three Year Old News

The children have learnt about the symbol of native animals’ footprint in bushland and the Victorian road signs of these animals (Visual language within community) .

We read Lucy Goozey by Margaret Wild and Ann James to encourage children share and talk about their worries (Learning to build emotional wellbeing).
