Student Leadership
Parliament House – Student Leadership Conference
On the 25th of May two of our school captains, Caitlyn and Angelina, attended the secondary school's leadership conference at Parliament House. They enjoyed listening to keynote speakers and engaging in the program.
Year 7 Peer Mentoring
Peer mentoring has continued this term, with our student leaders running discussions about the trials and tribulations of navigating the first few months of high school. Our year 7 groups are getting involved in a range of activities and have enjoyed getting the chance to develop relationships with our student leaders.
Student Voice
One of the roles of the student leadership team is to be the voice of the student body about key issues impacting students at Camden High. Our student leaders have been working closely with senior exec each Tuesday to address challenges faced by students and make improvements to the school. This term we have seen the implementation of the “student voice box” located in the library. Students can write down any concerns or suggestions they may have, and the student leadership team will endeavour to improve the issue through liaising with the senior executive team in our weekly meetings.
Planning for Term 3
The student leaders have been busy this term planning the initiatives we will see early next term. These include Wear it Purple Day, R U OK? Day, National PJ Day and Jeans for Genes and Jersey Day. Lots of exciting things to come. Keep an eye out for announcements around these initiatives.
