Curriculum Reform Parent Meeting

In 2023 there have been some curriculum reform made to the English and Mathematics syllabi for K-2, with further reform to be implemented in 2024 for Years 3-6. As a result, there will be changes made to how we report on English and Mathematics for K-2 this year and Years 3-6 next year. To assist with understanding these changes for K-2, we will be holding a Parent Information Session tomorrow, Tuesday 20 June from  3:00-3:30pm.

MOTOR NEURONE DISEASE AWARENESS DAY

FRIDAY 30 JUNE 2023

At Sacred Heart Boggabri, we are all getting behind something close to our HEARTS. We are taking the plunge to help freeze MND (Motor Neurone Disease) by trying to raise awareness of this condition.

On Friday 30 June we are going BLUE and wearing blue clothes to show our support. Some of our amazing staff have agreed to "take the plunge" and will be part of the ice bucket challenge. We welcome the Boggabri community to join us.

At recess we will be selling blue icing cupcakes for $1 each and we are encouraging staff, students, parents and the Boggabri community to wear blue and purchase a drink and sausage sizzle for lunch for $5. We will also have a raffle on the day selling for $2 per ticket with all funds raised going directly to FightMND which is an organisation that funds vital research to help find a cure for MND. FightMND is Australia's largest funder of MND research determined to find an effective treatment and ultimately a cure for Motor Neurone Disease.

We welcome any private donations which can be made through the MND link (MND Sunny Gunny Big Freeze) . If making a donation please reference Sacred Heart School Boggabri Big Freeze.  It only takes a minute and any money you can give (no matter how large or small) will go a long way to helping us reach out and support this vital research.

Together we can beat the beast that is MND.
