Welcome to Term 3 and the second half of the netball season. I hope you had an enjoyable break.

There are just five games remaining for NetSetGo and Years 2 to 4 and six games remaining for the Years 5 to 12 competition.

Breast Cancer Awareness Round

This weekend is the Breast Cancer Awareness Round. All players, coaches, umpires, officials and spectators are invited to wear pink socks or pink ribbons to support the cause.

Training

Training began this week. Training is a compulsory component of netball; please give your coach plenty of notice if you cannot attend training or the game.

Code of Conduct

As we ramp up to the end of the season, please keep in mind that 

• this is a game for the enjoyment of the players
• coaches will make decisions as they see necessary
• the umpires are doing their best
• abuse of umpires, players or coaches will not be tolerated

If there is a problem on the court, please get the coach or team manager to call me.

Illness and injury

We encourage all players to take the necessary time to fully recover from any illness or injury. If a player has cold or flu-like symptoms we request that they do not come to training or games. Please let your coach know immediately that you are unwell.

Annual General Meeting

Our Annual General Meeting is scheduled for 7pm on Wednesday, 11 October 2023.

If you would like to raise any issues, please email the Club by Monday, 2 October 2023.

Positions Vacant

The Club cannot function without the volunteers that are on our Committee. We are very fortunate to have an amazing group of parents that have been long-standing volunteers over the last few years but happily children graduate and sadly families move on. 

We are seeking parents to fill the following volunteer roles:

• Treasurer
• Registrar

The committee meets eight times per year in a mixture of in-person and Zoom meetings.
