A message from our Principal

Dear Parents, 

Our Teachers are busy finalising Semester 2 reports which will be sent home to parents on Friday 11th December. Our Presentation Day committee is also busy working on Presentation Day and making this event very special. Presentation Day will be live-streamed from the McMullen Hall on Tuesday 8th December. The links and times for Presentation Day will be sent home next week. 

This week, all of our staff have completed their CPR and Anaphylaxis face to face training, which was put on hold due to COVID restrictions in Term 3. We are so glad that all staff have now been able to complete this training face to face via zoom.

School Captain and Vice-Captain nominees 2021

Year 5 have voted for the final 8 girls and 8 boys who will make their speeches to the school next Monday 23rd November from 9.30am via zoom. We wish all the children well. The Year 5 nominees are;

Mini-Fete

Our Year 6 Mini Fete will be held on Friday 27th November. This year it will be a little different with a reduced range of activities due to COVID-19 restrictions and COVID safe plans put in place to ensure the safety of children and staff. I have been really impressed with the enthusiasm, creativity, and maturity that our Year 6 children have demonstrated in planning and organising the day. All children K-6 may wear Mufti clothes on the day, however, enclosed shoes and their school hat are essential. Students should not wear sleeveless shirts, please.

Situation Analysis – Community Consultation phone calls and surveys

Thank you to the parents who have already completed the surveys posted to our school Facebook page and stage Facebook pages. Thank you also to the parents that have provided responses to our questions when phoned by their child's classroom teacher and spoken with Mrs. Wilkin and Mr. Summerson at pick up of an afternoon. The information and wonderful suggestions collected from you will help us plan for our new School Plan 2021-2024. On behalf of our school, I appreciate your time, your feedback and your ideas in helping us to plan for key programs for our students in the next four years.

Canteen Tender

For the past 4 weeks, we had advertised for a Canteen Tender. Unfortunately, we did not have anyone apply for the tender. I will be contacting the Department of Education in the coming days to ascertain what process the school will need to take moving forward. More information about the School Canteen in 2021 will be sent home as soon as it comes to hand.
