Introducing ..........Starlight Sparkle Socks

We have a new library mascot.  It is a Pegasus and we needed a name for it.  We decided it would be fantastic if students send in name suggestions.  It was decided that our mascot should be called “Starlight Sparkle Socks”, the name suggested by Bonnie from 2MD.  Thanks to all of the students who put forward a name, they were amazing.  I know that some of you used your knowledge of alliteration to help you come up with your name suggestion, and I loved the reasons you gave as to why you chose a particular name.  Thanks to everyone who sent me a name suggestion.

Picture Book Area

We have had have the opportunity to make some changes to the library space and especially the way the picture books are displayed.  All picture books are now shelved with their cover facing the front.  This is to encourage students to choose and borrow books more easily.  It has also brightened up the library area which is now a more inviting and colourful space.
