MIDDLE YEARS PROGRAM

MYP

A huge congratulations to all of our Year 9 students who have completed the Community Project and presented their work to a panel over the last couple of weeks. This year, completing the Community Project through lockdown provided its own set of challenges and our students displayed resilience and creative thinking in the way they were able to respond and adapt their projects to work within the ever changing health regulations. Our students really focused on the local Mount Eliza community and taking action to support others through the pandemic. Some of the ideas presented included the creation of a website raising awareness for animal adoption, a range of sports podcasts and YouTube videos for others to stay healthy and active, programming and gaming challenges for kids and an art competition shared with our local primary students.

It’s been wonderful to listen to the learning growth that has occurred as a result of being involved in these actions and we look forward to seeing how our students continue to engage as responsible members of our community as they move into the Senior School next year.
