7 - 9 News

Tracy Peters

We are midway through the term and I can't believe we only have 4 weeks left for the year.

Returning to school this term has looked very different for our students but they have done well with the transition back to school. I am really impressed with how our 7-9 students are wearing their masks at school. Great job everyone.

We now have our Year 9 Graduation Group working hard on planning.  The date has been set for 9th December.  More information about costs and time can be found on COMPASS. Unfortunately this year, only students and staff will be able to attend the graduation. Parents will be sent a link to stream the event live.

Our transition session will take place on Friday 11th December. Students will “step up” into their new 2021 class. For our Year 6 students they will have the opportunity to experience what a day in year 7 will look like and begin to develop new friendship groups. It can be a very exciting time for students but also may cause some anxiety. If you have any concerns about the transition, please contact the college and speak to myself or Nicole Peters. We are here to make sure they have a smooth transition into secondary school.

Our students in Year 7 will also be getting their next lot of immunisations.  More details will be emailed to parents.

Finally our celebration lunch will take place in Monday 14th December. Students will be able to order subway and share lunch outside with friends to celebrate the end to 2020.  Orders are made directly to Subway.  Families have all being emailed the process for ordering.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs Jaz.

Stay safe
