3-6 News

A huge congratulations to all of our students and staff in years 3-6 for a smooth transition back from remote learning. You are all to be commended for your positive attitudes.

It has been great to see so many students with hats during this term. Well done for remembering, if you still haven’t managed to remember or you have lost your school hat, please wear a Sun Smart hat to school. Further, well done to students who have remembered to bring their drink bottles, with the drink taps out of action and the weather warming up, it is super important that all students bring a drink bottle to school.

As we begin to wrap up the year that we have had I have some important dates for you all.

Thursday the 10th of December will be our Year 6 End of Primary Years/Graduation Celebration. This will take place after school, unfortunately parents cannot be onsite, however we will live stream the formalities for you. More details, including the cost of the event will come out via COMPASS, year 6 parents please stay tuned.

Friday the 11th of December, will be 2021 step up day across the College. Students will have the chance to spend the day with their 2021 homegroup and teacher. This is an important date in our college calendar as it allows us to see how our new groupings will work together. We work really hard to ensure that these groupings are as balanced as possible, however at times we do feel the need to move students homegroups after this day and even early into the new year, please bear with us as we work to create the best classes for learning opportunities for all.

Tuesday the 15th of December, will be 3-6 end of year celebration day. Our teachers are working together with the junior college and house captains to create a wonderful day to end the year. The day will include Subway lunch and a range of fun activities. The only cost for the day is Subway lunch, all students who attend school on that date will be involved in the activities.

Thanks for your continued support, it is greatly appreciated. We hope that we can have a positive end to this year and look forward to having a smoother 2021.
