Canteen News

Great News:  The canteen will be back in action beginning this Friday the 23rd of October.   A canteen menu is being sent home today with the children.  Orders will need to be placed on the appropriate Thursday mornings by sending the order and correct money in to school in an envelope or zip lock bag - orders will not fit in to a paper bag and children will collect their lunch from the canteen. 

The cost of the meal deal is $6 and students will have the opportunity to choose one item from each section below.

Main Meal

  • Nachos (corn chips, beef mince/red kidney bean/tomato, cheese, avocado, yoghurt)
  • Salad wrap (lettuce, tomato, cheese, cucumber, carrot)
  • plus option of adding either tuna, chicken, ham or egg
  • Sushi bowl (quinoa, tuna, asparagus, nori sheets, avocado, carrot, dressing)

Snack

  • Popcorn
  • Hummus and carrot sticks
  • Frozen yoghurt

Drink

  • Orange juice
  • Apple juice
  • Mango smoothie

It is anticipated that the canteen will be available for the children in weeks 2,4,6 & 8. These dates are on the canteen menu.  If we have more volunteers we can open for additional days as well.  If you can volunteer your services to run the canteen on a Friday, please phone Clare Lee on 0409 079 932 and she will place your name on the roster which will be displayed in this section of the newsletter each week.

 

Please note: On November 20th some of our primary students will be involved in a sporting gala day in Tamworth so will not need a lunch order for this day. More information can be found in the sports section. 

 

St Joseph’s are now taking part in the Athletes Foot School Rewards program!

When next purchasing shoes at Athletes Foot Tamworth, please mention to staff that your school is part of the rewards program. $5 of your purchase will be donated to the school from any footwear purchase, not just school shoes.

Mango Fundraiser

We would like to thank Clare Lee who is once again organising our annual Mango Fundraiser. This has been a very successful fundraiser in the past and is always well anticipated as we head towards Summer. The delivery date will not be known for some time however will be well advertised in this newsletter when available.  Payment may be made in cash but due to COVID, preferably by bank transfer to the PT&F account with your full name as the reference.  Payment must be made for your order to be processed.
