Book Fair 2020 Style

We have a few changes to the original plan for the way book fair is going to run this week and we apologise for any confusion.

  • You can pay by ordering online. Instructions can be found below.
  • You can pay by Qkr.
  • You can pay in cash.

When your child comes to purchase they need to bring their wishlist in with the items they are ordering, highlighted on the wishlist.  Due to the online system not all books will be available for collection on Thursday but the orders will be sent away on Friday to ensure books are sent to school well before the end of the term. All orders need to be brought to the library on Thursday.  We won't be able to accept orders after this day.

 

Students may bring loose coins to purchase novelty items and posters. See photo below:

Instructions for paying online

1.            Click on the online payment portal www.scholastic.com.au/payment  (as per wish List)

2.            Enter State and School – check suburb of school.

3.            Enter credit card details and amount

4.            Record receipt number on the Wish List or print receipt and highlight the books 

                paid for on front of wish list.

5.         Bring Wish List back to the school to collect books or if we do not have enough copies, a reorder will be placed as soon as we possibly can after Thursday and the books will be delivered to school very quickly.

 

Unfortunately we will not be holding the BBQ lunch now but we will definitely be starting the day with our book fair parade.  The theme for the parade is:  Book Fair Jungle: Elephants, Tigers, and Books, OH MY!  Winners of the parade will be able to choose a book from the fair to take home. Children can stay in their costumes if practical  or change into school uniform. 

 

This year we are also holding a 'Bookmark' competition. A template has been given to each student and is being decorated according to the Book Fair theme. The winning entries will receive a gift from the Novelties section and will be copied and distributed with our usual 'Student of the Week' awards until the end of the term.
