A Message from the Principal

Mrs Pauline Long

Dear Parents and Carers,

Our Athletics Carnival was a great success last week. The students participated with enthusiasm, and their behaviour was exemplary. Thank you to Robyn Wilson and Amanda Bartholomew for organising the day. It was wonderful to have support from the Catholic Schools Office with Gary Mc Sweeney the Chairperson of Diocesan Sport and Heidi Hardaker the Diocesan Sport Co-ordinator helping throughout the day as officials. They also judged our amazing March Past and War Cry competitions. Congratulations to the Blue ‘Tenison’ House for winning the March, the Gold ‘Penola’ House for winning the War Cry and for being the overall Champions on the day.

Once again I was so impressed with the War Cry competition led so capably by our Year 6 students. I hope you enjoy it too!

There are many more photos in the sport section for you to enjoy! If you press on the photo you can save it to your device. If you are reading this on your PC you can right click the image and 'save image'.

Phone System

The CSO IT team; Richard Purssey, Fiona Chisholm & Jed Trow, has provided and installed a new phone and communication system throughout the school. We now have an automated bell system, messages can be sent directly to classrooms from the front office and our emergency evacuation/lockdown procedures are streamlined and connected to the CSO for added support. I would like to acknowledge and thank the Catholic Schools Office for investing in this technology for our school.

REAL TALK

The parent zoom meeting last night was most informative. The main message was TALK to your children particularly about what technology they are engaging with. Parents were encouraged to be aware of what games and social media their children are using and to not be afraid to set screen time limits! Zoom Meetings for Yr 4 and Yr 6 will be held at school this Friday. I encourage parents of these students to ask your children about the sessions. The students will be discussing how life is a gift and is sacred. They will also be given help on how to navigate social media in a responsible way.

End of Year Celebrations

Due to Covid restrictions we have cancelled our usual Presentation Night but we will have a Presentation Day at school on Thursday 10th December. At this celebration the Year 6 students will present their Memories of Primary School speeches and all class and special school awards awards will be presented.

Year 6 students will have a Dinner at school on Monday 14th December from 6.00-8.30pm, for the students only. Staff will organise catering  for this event. On Tuesday 15th December Year 6 will have their ‘Big Day Out’ in Tamworth. Year 6 students will receive a note with more details later this week.
