Week 6

Middle Schoolers have been BOUNCING around everywhere these past few weeks! You may have seen them jumping for joy during our excursions to Bounce on Monday or Thursday 9th March having lots of fun, building relationships, testing their balance and mostly having fun.

You may have also seen our Middles on Seesaw presenting assemblies. Well done to Rooms 10 and 11 and their incredible staff for creating an assembly that had us smiling the whole way through! A huge congratulations to our award winners. JSA is lucky to have you all as role models. We can’t wait to see what is in store for the next assembly and to find out who our new superstar recipients are.

This a reminder that the 10-year celebration is taking place on Saturday 18th March. Middle Schoolers have been busy thinking about where they see themselves in ten years. Ten years is a long time, and so many of our students are excited about the prospect of being artists, teachers, Roblox makers, scientists, train drivers, playdough makers, McDonald's workers, dinosaurs, AFL players, with some even striving to have the same jobs as their brothers, sisters, mums and dads. Pretty special! We can't wait to show you our illustrations of what we are going to look like in ten years, which will be showcased on our Middle School bulletin board in room 10-13 breezeway area.

I hope you found student support group meetings (SSGs) to be beneficial, an opportunity for you to meet the teacher and/or support staff and to develop goals heading into the year. Teachers are currently in the process of putting together individual education plans which will be communicated to you in due time.

As always, please continue to communicate with your child’s teacher regarding any questions or concerns. The more we know, the better we can work in partnership to support your child and help them or to grow academically and socially.

We hope you have a wonderful few weeks ahead!

Room 12

Room 12 has had a positive start to 2023. All students have adjusted well to the routines of middle school and have enjoyed making new friends and trying new things. Room 12 is looking forward to the BOUNCE excursion next week and the House Colours Day later this month!
