Capital Works Report

As you drive down Bamburgh Street you can see the the upper cladding of the Sensory Room has been painted to match the colour pattern  of the Climbing Gym. The internal walls have been painted.

The vinyl flooring was installed recently and the internal painting has been completed. The final concreting is happening this week and the landscaping should be installed next week with natural grass and a tree. We will be at the stage of "practical completion" next week while we wait for some final installations to be sourced. We are looking forward to seeing the room at next weeks site meeting.

The Yaluk major building is currently waiting the arrival of the steel that will signal the start of the above ground building process.  Sourcing materials has been a challenge so far, but waiting for the steel is holding the process up. Hopefully for not too much longer.

Some new locks are being trialled on gates around the school. The new locks are used typically on garage gates etc,  but we are hopeful they will be easier to use and a more aesthetic value then the current locks that have not survived constant use. Once we have feedback from staff, their effectiveness and ease of use will be evaluated.
