Embracing new opportunities

Our wonderful Year 7 students

Congratulations to our year 7 students for their commitment to learning so far this term. Students have started High School with a strong work ethic and a high level of maturity. We have provided all students with diaries, and it is important that they bring their diaries to school every day to help them keep organised. Diaries are a valuable communication tool for parents, teachers, and students to use every day. An organised student is a successful one.

Year 7 have enjoyed several activities and events so far with one of those being our annual school swimming carnival. It was great to see our Year 7 students competing and spending the day with their friends.

Year 7 Welcome BBQ

A Year 7 Welcome BBQ will be held on 22 February 2023 (Week 5). We would love to see all parents and carers at this event!

Preparing for successful assessment in Year 11

It is great to see students working hard leading up to their up-and-coming assessment tasks. There are several in class and research tasks that students will be completing in a variety of subjects starting from Week 6 this term. It is important that all Year 11 students take a dedicated and consistent approach towards completing school-based assessment to successfully meet the requirements of the preliminary course of study. All students must ensure the work they produce is their own and is accurately referenced when required. Students will be guided by their teachers on how to study and balance their work loads. A balanced and individualised approach is essential for all students.

Students will be given the opportunity to change subjects in Week 4 and Week 5 this term  (commencing 13 February and concluding on 24 February).

Students can change from one subject to another provided it is on the same line.
Students will not be able to make changes within the same subjects.

This decision is an important one as the subject studied is a two year commitment.

All students will need to complete a form that is signed by the Subject Teacher, Head Teacher, Parent/Carer and Deputy Principal in order to do this.
