Stage 2

Mrs Sue Lye, Miss Lauren Corby, Ms Lyn Burgess and Mrs Amanda Swain would like to welcome Mr Elliot Chapman, Mr Ben Laurie, Mrs Sarah Farmer and Mrs Anna-Marie Paul to Stage 2. These teachers bring fabulous skills and knowledge to enhance our team.  We are also fortunate to have Mrs Sarah Pryce and Mrs Kellie Divall supporting specific learning needs across our stage.

Welcome to Stage 2

This term we look forward to:

English - Our focus in writing will be The Seven Steps to Writing and how to engage a reader by using a Sizzling Start. 

Mathematics - We will begin maths groups in the next couple of weeks, where we will initially focus on whole number concepts.

Science - Our Science unit this term is an Inquisitive unit - The Sun, Earth and Moon. In this unit, students will inquire into the Earth’s relationship with the Sun and how the Sun, Earth and Moon interact. 

Sport - This term sport will be on a Monday, where in rotational groups, we will focus on developing gross motor skills to play modified games.

Thank you to those parents who have already provided their child with the necessary equipment for this term. Having this equipment allows for your child to be more organised and ready to complete their work.

We are excited to have started the year and are enjoying getting to know your child. We look forward to meeting you soon.
