​Physical Education

Our Prep students have been enjoying their first few weeks of Physical Education. We have been focusing on locomotor and tagging games as well as games that focus on responding to the whistle and testing their memory. It’s been great getting to meet all the new prep students and play some fun introductory games with them.

Our older students have been continuing with their fitness and have taken part in some agility training which focused on some agility ladder work as well as some change of direction activities. Some year levels have also completed the beep test to see where students’ cardiovascular endurance is at. All students have been amazing so far in taking part in the beep test and have given it their best effort. The results have been amazing with all students beating their previous scores from 2022.

On Wednesday the 15th of February Kingswood held our Year 4-6 District Swimming Trials. I just wanted to say a big congratulations to all students who came and competed on the day. There was some terrific swimming and it was nice to see the support and encouragement that all students were giving one another. Students who have made the District Swimming Team would have been sent an event on compass to compete at the District Athletics Carnival on Wednesday the 1st of March.
