Visual Arts

Kerry Eeckman

Visual Arts Teacher

I would like to start the year by welcoming Sarah Rohan to the Visual Arts teaching fold. She has been a classroom teacher in the past and I am excited to have her working along side myself in the art room. Sarah will be teaching the Year 3 students on Mondays for Term 1 and then alternating with Year 4 in upcoming terms. I know that she has a great program organised for these students. Welcome aboard the specialist team Sarah!

Recycling news:

The art room is still a drop off point for plastic bread ties. You are still welcome to drop them into Unit C Visual Arts room and they will be sent to the main collection point for valuable recycling. Please do not place the cardboard bread ties into the mix, they are not accepted for this particular project.

Donations wanted:

  1. Soft wood offcuts such as pine or cedar: wanting to do some woodwork with the Year 5/6 students and need offcuts that are reasonably easy to work with sawing, nailing etc
  2. Wool 8ply - preferably bright colours
  3. Empty spice jars or small jars with lids (preferably with labels soaked off please for younger students)
  4. Laughing Cow Cheese boxes
  5. Small soft drink bottles washed and dried: only 300-500ml

Thanking you for your support and assistance.
