Principal's Message

Term 1 Week 5 2023

Congratulations SRC Reps and Pleasant Snacks Managers

It was lovely to see so many parents/carers attend assembly and to see the pride our students demonstrated when receiving their badges.

Pleasant Snacks got off to an amazing start today with our 1/2 students stepping in for the Year 5's as they were at the Swimming Carnival.

Huge shout out to the inquiry Centre teachers who jumped in to make sure the long awaited opening could go ahead.

We also had the 3/4 family Meet and Greet following this assembly, unfortunately there wasn't a big turn out. We are looking forward to catching up with the 1/2 families on Monday with our coffee van and icy poles for students, please come along and say hi. Thankyou to the Independence Centre staff for helping out with the icy poles and saying hello to families. 5/6 D will be hosting next weeks Assembly.

Kinder Picnic

What a lovely afternoon we had for our Kinder Family picnic. Thank you to everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to come along and mingle. Teachers and Educators value the opportunity to meet in a relaxed environment and have the chance to chat with parents and children. Our beautiful Junior playground makes an ideal spot and the older siblings enjoyed using the Gaga Pit.

Students Support Group Meetings

Next week families with students who are funded under the Program for Students with Disabilities and/or who have additional needs will have meetings with teachers and school leadership to support them achieve their learning goals. These are important meetings and I appreciate families juggling their schedules to attend as we release teachers to be able to attend these hence the limited availability of days and times.

Swimming Carnival

What an amazing day it was today at Oakleigh Recreation Centre. Thank you to our incredible families, staff and students that participated in either the competitive or fun activities or volunteered to make the day run smooth. It was great to see all levels of abilities having the opportunity to experience in our aquatics program.

Results from the competitive races will be collated over the weekend, and students progressing to District Swimming will be notified.

Twilight Sports

We are looking forward to welcoming all families for our Twilight Sports next Thursday evening. Families arrive from 5pm with a BBQ available and the Kinder races start at 5.30 with the School races starting from 5.45pm.

Second Hand Uniform Sale

P&F will be running a preloved uniform stall at Twilight Sports with clothing $5 and School Bags $10. 5.30pm - 6.30pm near the Visual Arts Studio. We have a large number of small sizes eg size 4 and larger sizes, with donations coming in from our past Year 6 students and
