Captains' Corner

Tameka Hagget and Angelo Mijares - Faith and Mission Captains

I would like to commend you all on such a brilliant start to the year, you should all be so proud. It was amazing to see so many students dressing up and participating in the swimming carnival. Well done to both Phoenix and Delphinus Houses for your amazing efforts and the awards you both received. I saw so many people getting involved and trying new things which is the very spirit I hope to capture in all school events.

I would also like to take this opportunity to remind you all that alongside the social justice committee, I help to run a breakfast club every Tuesday and Thursday in SPAC, from 8 o'clock in the morning until the bell goes for homeroom. This is an opportunity for every student to come along and enjoy some free breakfast if they are unable to do so at home. We often play movies and invite you all to come along.

To the Year 7 students, I hope you had an amazing time on your first camp at St Johns. I remember still how scary it can be, but this is a great opportunity to meet new people and to bond as a year level. I hope you enjoyed this experience and I look forward to hearing all about your journey at camp.

Have a restful weekend everyone and I look forward to seeing you back at school ready to learn on Monday.
