Welcome Picnic

Toorak PS students and their families enjoyed catching up at our annual Welcome Picnic last Wednesday 15th February. Families brought a picnic, enjoyed a sausage sizzle and appreciated the delicious pretzels supplied by the German Program. There were lots of fun activities including face painting, a photo booth and tabloid sports. We also enjoyed music performed by our talented TPS students. A big thank you to our event organisers - Angela Mulhall, Alicia Brown, David Clark and Katrin Schneider, our extra parent helpers and our TPS staff!

Melbourne Football Club

On Tuesday we had 10 Melbourne Football Club players visit TPS and conduct a football clinic for year 5 students and Melbourne FC supporters.

The players put students through a range of skill drills and played some mini games with everyone running around, having fun and learning about the game of football. Students also had an opportunity to ask players questions during a Q&A session as well as get autographs from the players. Year 5 student Sam Green was the star of the show being filmed by channel 10 and Fox Footy interviewing Ben Brown which saw him receive “Play of the Day” on channel 10 news on Tuesday night.
