Privacy Week

Last week in school, a very important message was at the forefront of teaching and learning as teachers reminded students about everyone's responsibility around e-safety.  We used social media and our website to share links to the e-safety website.

Families can support this initiative by starting the chat with young people today and making sure privacy is a priority.

IDAHOBIT Day

On Monday, Students and Staff wore 'the Rainbow' in support of IDAHOBIT Day.   IDAHOBIT Day is a world-wide event and was created to raise awareness of the high rates of homophobia and transphobia that people experience every day.

IDAHOBIT stands for International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia.

Students were encouraged to participate in the 'coloured clothes day' by dressing in the rainbow for a gold coin donation.  During engage, students took part in a hand craft activity creating meaningful messages of support.  We'll share with you in our next newsletter the outcome of their work.   Our awareness celebrations continued at lunchtime with a number of activities including face painting, colouring in, board games and the good old photo booth. Coloured jelly cups and fairy bread were also handed out and members from City of Casey hosted a stall to provide information to students needing support out of school. Thank you to everyone who participated in the day and for staff who helped to organise the events.
