During the month of May, students at the College have been focussing on our school value of Respect. Students are encouraged to think about ways in which they show respect to themselves, others and the environment. Every classroom in the school displays an SWPBS (School Wide Positive Behaviour Support) matrix. This contains expectations that all students must follow when at school. Some of these expectations include; wearing the College uniform correctly at all times (including to and from school), actively listening when others are speaking, respecting the personal space of others, and coming to class on time. Students who display positive behaviours at school are acknowledged for their efforts, and re-teaching of appropriate behaviours is taught to students who do not display these behaviours.

NAPLAN

Testing for our Year 7 and 9 students is about to come to an end. These students have worked hard and given it their best effort. Schools use NAPLAN data to identify students who are underperforming and in need of extra help at school, to ensure that they do not fall behind in

Literacy and Numeracy. Students and their families will receive their NAPLAN results in term three.

VCE & Careers Expo

Year 12 students attended the Careers Expo at Caulfield Racecourse. This gave students the opportunity to gather information about possible pathways for the next year. Please speak to your child about their chosen pathway and feel free to contact our Career’s Centre if you would like any further information.

Our Year 10 students should be starting to think about their chosen pathway and what they would like to do in the years following high school. A great way for students to explore different careers is to be part of work experience. Students are given the opportunity, during week 9 of this term, to spend the week completing work experience at a job that is of interest to them. Information regarding course counselling for Year 9 and 10 students will also be distributed at the beginning of term three.
