OnPsych Psychology
Just a reminder about the onPsych psychology service being offered at St Joseph’s:
onPsych
onPsych is Australia’s largest provider of bulk-billed Medicare funded school-based psychology services using Psychologists and Mental Health Social Workers. They specialise in child and adolescent mental health interventions and family intervention dealing with a range of disorders such as anxiety, depression, ASD, ADHD, grief, and self-harm. Working in schools enables them to use a collaborative approach with students, teachers and families- essential for optimal outcomes.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) enables Australians with a permanent and significant disability the freedom to choose the life they want to live. onPsych is registered with the (NDIS), which means they can provide psychological assistance for any family who has NDIS funding at the school.
Charging the standard NDIS rate without travel costs makes this a free service for families.
Learning Disorder Assessments
There may be occasions when schools or parents require a cognitive or clinical assessment.
onPsych personnel are able to complete assessments at the school for an additional charge. Practitioners ensure the results and recommendations of the assessments are communicated to parents and teachers. This ensures the child’s individual needs can be consistently addressed, both at home and at school.
If you are interested in accessing this service for specialist support for your child’s social and/or emotional wellbeing, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will provide you with an onPsych Parent Information Pack.
Enjoy your week,
Faye
