WORK EXPERIENCE OPPORTUNITY 2019
Are you currently in Year 9?
Are you interested in a professional work experience placement in Melbourne next year?
As part of The Alliance, our College, together with McGuire College, Shepparton High School and Wanganui Park Secondary College will be taking a group of students to stay together in Melbourne and participate in work experience in Term 2 next year.
This is a great opportunity to test out your passions, explore where your VCE subjects can take you, and know what it’s like to work in the city.
The placements are organised by Boundless, an organisation that connects students with work experience placements in hard-to-reach professions.
There is a cost to this activity. More details early 2019.
For more information or to register your interest regarding this opportunity please contact Ms O’Bree.
EXTRA TRANSITION AT MSC
Over the last 3 weeks, Mr Townsend and Mrs Cornelius have run 7 extra transition sessions for our cluster schools. The students attended MSC for the morning, and participated in a cooking class where they constructed healthy salad rolls. They also participated in a 'location hunt', working in teams to follow clues and find their way around the school. It was lovely to see the nerves start to disappear, and eager Grade 6 students keen to come and visit us again on Orientation Day - Tuesday 11th December 2018.
ORIENTATION INFORMATION NIGHT
Parent information night will be held in W3 on Monday 10th December - between 6.00 and 7.00pm. It is an important presentation for parents, to come and learn about how their child's new school works. If you are unable to attend the evening, please feel free to contact Alicia Cornelius or Damian Townsend during school hours on 58252344.
