Year 8 Maths

What’s happening in Year 8 Maths?

Brain Breaks are mental breaks designed to help students stay focused in Maths. The Maths Team use these in many creative ways to get students moving and to assist the blood to carry oxygen to the brain. The breaks work both their fine and gross motor skills, allowing them time to solidify their learning.

Mrs Hutchinson’s Year 8 Maths Class have a ‘Tight, Tip-Top Ship’ analogy in combination with team work. The brain break in these photos includes a ‘Captain’s Address, dance on the deck, row the life boat etc…’

Year 7 English – A biography about my Idol

The Year 7 students are working through an assessment task developing their ICT skills in the creation of a biography about someone they idolise. They will be presenting this orally to the class. The English teachers have been impressed with their organisation skills and ability to problem solve when unsure how to add content to the slides. Well done, Year 7’s!
