I am sending a link to support the mental health and wellbeing of students over the school holidays. There are resources for both parents/carers and students.

 

The link below has 2 fact sheets and they have been translated into 19 languages. 

The fact sheets include information to: 

  • support positive mental health and wellbeing of students
  • identify signs students may need mental health support
  • access available support

School Holidays With Baseline

 

Baseline for Young People are hosting a number of fun online activities over the September holiday break that I was hoping you could share with your students and families through your schools social platforms, compass, newsletters and emails.

 

Trivia 

Who is up for a bit of Trivia? A fun activity that you can attend as a group or we can add you to a group.

Hosted on two evenings: Wednesday 22nd September 2021 @ 4pm, & Wednesday 29th September 2021 @ 4pm (offered on both nights but participants to attend one session)

Cost: Free

 

Leadership Workshop

Facilitated by Centre for Multicultural Youth (CMY), by participating in this workshop, you will:

  • Develop an understanding of what Civic Leadership and Active Citizenship means and how you may be able to take part in it
  • Recognise the importance of having your voice heard
  • Learn how to enrol to vote and run for local election

Thursday 30th September 2021, 1:30pm – 4:30pm

Cost: Free

 

Escape Rooms

Through interacting with a real time actor, you will work together with other participants to solve a series of puzzles to reveal the mystery of the main characters situation. 

Two sessions offered: Thursday 23rd September @ 12pm or Thursday 23rd September 3pm

Cost: $5

Positive Photography

Enjoy photography or capturing that perfect shot? Join other young people in sharing positive photography over throughout the school holidays for your chance to win some prizes.

Baseline Leadership Workshop

 

Baseline for Young People are offering young people age 12 – 25 a free leadership workshop in partnership with Centre for Multicultural Youth (CMY). This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to explore the concept of civic leadership through active citizenship and how this can be used to make positive change in their community!

 

By participating in this workshop, young people will:

  • Develop an understanding of what Civic Leadership and Active Citizenship means and how you may be able to take part in it
  • Recognise the importance of having their voice heard
  • Learn how to enrol to vote and run for local election

Topics covered:

  • What is Civic Leadership? And how can you be a part of it?
  • Young people running for local election – The who, what, when, where and how.
  • Mock elections and understanding the systems

The workshop will be delivered online via Zoom on Thursday 30th September 1:30pm – 4:30pm.
