Student Tech School Ambassador 4th Workshop Online

For their 4th workshop and their 2nd workshop online, ESC student tech school ambassadors learned keys skills in visual and verbal science communication and applied their newly learnt skills into creating posters to target a school audience. Students were introduced to the MENTAL exhibit currently at the Science Gallery Melbourne, where science and art cohesively work together to create interesting projects such as:

Wheel - a giant rainbow internet-connected exercise wheel

Thoughtforms – detecting your brain activity and 3D-printing your thoughts

Mirror Ritual - An AI mirror that detects facial emotions and provides a poem for you

Microbial Mood – an experiment testing how different bacteria grow and develop to different music genres

Students then chose to develop their visual and verbal communication skills in either Aesthetics, Audience, Engagement or Storytelling and then formed groups with other tech school ambassadors to create eye catching posters to present their choice of the projects currently at the Science Gallery. Here are the results of their posters, that was great to see!

Despite the transition from on-site to online for the last two workshops, ESC student ambassadors are looking forward to their last workshop for their Maker Faire event in November.
