Xanadu

Congratulations to everyone involved with our College Production – Xanadu.

The buzz this event has generated is quite astounding to some, but not to the staff involved, parents of the cast and those involved behind the scenes. Once again you produced an event that exceeded everyone’s expectation.

What a privilege it is for the NCPA to support this event with our Refreshment Lounge and Kiosk on Performance Nights and provide lunches at Rehearsals in the weeks leading up to Opening Night. Thank-you.

To our many volunteer helpers who assisted each night of the performance, we say an enormous thank-you.

Our helpers were- Neesha, Gayle, Sue, Kathryn, Genevieve, John, Chris, Angelika, Josie, Judith, Sonia, Michelle, Tania, Maria, Sue, Heather, Selena, Angela, Julie, Toni, Abby, Naomi, Alice and Penny.

Bunnings Sausage Sizzle

On Sunday August 20th we ran the first of our three scheduled Bunning’s Sausage Sizzles. A cold crisp morning made for a slow start, but as the day went on, the sun came out and we sold over 400 sausages. Well done to everyone involved! Thank-you to our helpers --Rosaria, Alice, Marea-(who always does our onions), Mirella, Josie, Merryn, Caroline, Bernadette, Damien, Judith, Toni and Kathrine.

Our next one is on Sunday September 24th. We would love to see some Dads get involved in this event. We know how much a man loves his BBQ. Come on guys register yourselves and get to know other Dads in our community. Simply call OR text Helene on 0409 561061 or email ncpa@nazareth.vic.edu.au. Our goal is to sell over 500 sausages this time!

Then it’s time to get ready for Sunday October 15th our last Bunnings BBQ for the year. We want our finale to be outstanding so check the diary and book yourself in for a shift. There is nothing better than a Sausage Sizzle on a sunny spring day! Please register on the same details above.

Bake Off

You can’t run a cake stall without cakes. On Wednesday September 20th we will run a BAKE OFF to cater for our Cake Stall on September 21st at the Student Progress Meetings. Simply register your attendance on ncpa@nazareth.vic.edu.au.  Come and join in the fun!

Footy Colours Day

September 20th is Footy Colours Day. Students will need to bring along a gold coin which will be collected in their Morning Pastoral Room on the day.  Come dressed in your favourite footy or soccer colours on this day.

The Nazareth College Parents Association cannot exist without the support and commitment of the Parent Community. Cars Parking on College roads and driveways  

Of late, drivers have been noticed parked or standing in driveways waiting to pick up students after school.  

Apart from being illegal, this practice presents a hazard, both to vehicles attempting to exit the College whilst carrying students who have medical issues and for those attempting to pass to exit at the end of the school day.

The practice has extended to drivers parking on the roadway whist adjacent to parking spaces which are empty and available.  

Could drivers please be considerate towards all members of the College Community and extend the normal courtesy of the road to all users by using designated parking spaces and not standing on roads.  

Students on the Keysborough Bus

With the re-opening of Church Road following rebuilding all students travelling on the Keysborough Bus are reminded that the original Timetable now applies.

 Please ensure that you are waiting at the stops at the correct time in the morning.

Woolworths Earn & Learn

We are excited to be taking part in the 2017 Woolworths Earn & Learn program. During the previous campaign, we were able to purchase some great resources with the points we earned, thanks to you. From now until September 19th 2017, you can collect stickers at Wooloworths that go towards Earn & Learn points. For every $10 you spend at Woolworths (excluding the purchase of tobacco, liquor and gift cards), you will receive a sticker. These stickers can then be given to your children to collect on a special sticker card. Once it is completed, they can simply bring it back here to school at Student Services or you can drop them into your local Woolworths collection box. The more points we earn, the more we can redeem from a choice of over 10,000 educational resources including numeracy and literacy resources, art & crafts materials and much, much more! We are grateful for your support and look forward to a successful program. If you have any questions, please ask at the College Reception.
