Albert Park College Play Written by Year 10

'A Better Life in Lavender'. Excitingly, Year 10 Drama students write a full length play every year. This year, the students worked with NIDA graduate and playwright, Jessica Bellamy.

Set in an alternative Australia of the present time, we see the effects of the ‘Big Australia Policy’, a policy that controls the populations’ reproductive rights. A small group of government orphans relocate to ‘Lavender’, a small town in rural Victoria to start a new life. The new town seems too good to be true, but our city kids quickly realise that everything isn’t as it seems. Something sinister is bubbling under the surface of this perfect town.

It will be held at Gasworks Theatre on November the 14th and 15th with both matinee and evening shows available. Tickets can be purchased through Gasworks website.
