Classroom & Playground Rules
Last year, students in years 3 - 6 took part in the Resilient Youth Survey organised by the City of Port Phillip. Galilee students faired very well in the results and on average, finished above the state in all areas. One question did stand out as area for improvement for our school. The survey results found that students were unclear about what the school rules were. After meeting with City of Port Phillip, we decided that we needed to improve this area. The staff meet to decide what they thought were important whole school rules. The Wellbeing Team then refined these rules and consequences. The Student Wellbeing leaders also had a chance to revise and give their final approval of the rules. These new rules started this week.

Mobile Phone Policy
This year, the State Government introduced new legislation banning mobile phones and smart watches from Australian Schools. Galilee will introduced this new policy today. All devices, this includes mobile phones and smart watches (with message and call abilities), must be handed to the classroom teacher. They will be returned at the end of the day. Phones can not be left in school bags.
